REEL 002 — FRAME 01

Why Zevrion exists

A small research practice built for reporters who want to check their own facts before anyone else does.

FOCUS PANEL

Started in a periodicals room

Zevrion began as a favour between reporters — one of us had spent years in periodicals rooms and library annexes across East Java, and kept getting asked the same question: could you help me find where this claim first appeared? That question turned into a working practice.

We are not a newsroom and we don't publish under our own name. What we do is sit behind the reporting, tracing references through printed and digitised material that search engines rarely reach, and handing over a record precise enough to survive a skeptical editor.

What drives the work is fairly plain: a story stands on what can be shown, not just what can be asserted. We try to make that showing easier.

REEL INDEX

What we hold to

01

Traceability

Every finding comes with a page reference. If we can't show where something came from, we say so instead of guessing.

02

Plain limits

Uncertain dates and unverified details stay marked as such. Smoothing them over would only shift the risk onto you.

03

Scoped work

Hours and sessions are agreed upfront. You know what you're paying for before the search begins.
